EXHIBITIONS/ARDDANGOSFEYDD

To date, Niamh has had the privilege of exhibiting her work both physically and digitally due to the covid restrictions. Her first endurance of an exhibition was a digital representation as the gallery space was contrived on a virtual platform. Recently Niamh's work was exhibited as part of her Live Brief outcome, exhibiting 3 large scale glass pieces replicating a room divider. This moment was climacteric for Niamh as the outcomes proved distinguished of Niamh's style. The medium of glass is used progressively throughout Niamh's degree as she developed an understanding of its properties and restrictions.

GOLWG AR GELF

 2023

Collaborating with students from Cardiff Metropolitan University, Golwg ar Gelf highlights the impact obtained by the Welsh language when used to devise new pieces, and the almost advantage Welsh students are given as they can exhibit work within their area. Niamh's collection was previously submitted for another exhibition in-line with a live brief, however she felt that her smaller scale repeats were to be explored further.

MINI MODERNS
LIVE BRIEF 2023

Entitled ''Hafan'' translating to ''Haven'' in Welsh, Hafan explores the corresponding terrain of Ammanford- a local village to Niamh.
Gesturally constructed through digital brushes, Niamh explored the complexity that is creating a landscape which inserts perfectly together. Despite the difficulty, Niamh has now developed comforts within this approach- currently implementing it into her work.

WELSH FOLKLORE AND LEGENDS
CARMARTHEN SCHOOL OF ART 
2021

To finalise the foundation course, Niamh was tasked as part of her stage 3 major outcome to compose a self-directed brief. Through her interest of a surrounding region, she decided to explore folklore and the telling of a tale that related to a place.


Studying ‘’Lady of the Lake’’ belonging to Llyn y Fan Fach, a lake on the Black Mountains, Carmarthenshire, she decided to make the ‘’lady’’ her key focus, constructing a garment which accentuated her beauty as she would sit engrossed that an oncoming man would approach her. To anticipate the splendour of the tale- she decided to photograph the model in the location.
